On March 18, the signing of the agreement took place. With this, Bureau Veritas has become an official partner in the North Sea Energy program. Bureau Veritas supports energy operators operating assets in the North Sea in the implementation and compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements. This in accordance with national and international standards.

In recent years, Bureau Veritas has also focused on offshore wind and the related offshore and onshore infrastructure. In addition, Bureau Veritas supports its clients in the energy transition. It is supporting its clients in the energy transition by designing sustainable testing, inspection and testing standards and deploying innovative (digital) solutions that enable the transition.

Bureau Veritas considers hydrogen and CCS as a necessary step to achieve climate goals. In doing so, it aims to reduce the footprint in the North Sea and thus contribute to a better world. Together with the affiliated North Sea Energy partners, Bureau Veritas wants to collaborate on finding innovative, socially responsible, economic and sustainable solutions. These solutions should lead to a safe setting for the hydrogen market and connection to the goals of the North Sea Energy program. The focus is on knowledge sharing with the partners around themes such as safety, standardization and verification of laws and regulations.
