Last week, King Willem-Alexander visited sites in the North Sea for the future of energy. One of the locations was the pilot project PosHYdon on the Q13A-A platform of Neptune Energy, where for the first time green hydrogen is produced offshore on a working platform. We as North Sea Energy are involved in this pilot project in order to incorporate the learning points in our research into system integration on the North Sea.

During the working visit, the King also visited wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid and a transformer platform of TenneT, where the electricity generated by the wind farm at sea is transported to land. As great opportunity to showcase the developments related to energy transition at sea.
